I was amazed as to how creative Tom Clancy was in this book. A very long book but well worth the read.

Even though this is almost 1000 pages long, it is fast paced, gripping action and what a bang-up ending.

This novel traces the financial, political, military, and personal machinations that drive America into the next major global war.....a shocker climax so plausible you'll wonder why it hasn't yet happened.

The book is a premonition of crises that may be over the horizon for an America that has come to believe foreign crises are the stuff of yesterday. Worth relecting on.....

Excitement, political intrigue, and military action. What do you expect from a Jack Ryan book by Tom Clancy?

Another great Tom Clancy novel. This story begins in Tokyo with the murder of an American woman. From that chilling beginning, this book will have you wondering about future of our country. This book is full of the intricate politics that drive the US; financial, political, military and personal greed and quest for power. Very in tune with today's current events in the world. Another cliffhanger from a master. A huge read that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the climax........and deja vu.

I love to read Tom Clancy's books and usually can't put them down! With this book, he didn't disappoint me. I have read it several times and don't get tired. The plot is fantastic and has several surprises. The characters are realistic. All I can say it that it's a great read!

Clancy takes a bold, incisive look at that our nation's leaders are calling "the new world order." The time and place" a world at peace, where yesterday's enemies are tomorrow's allies. The players: Jack Ryan as the new U S President's National Security Advisor, and his CIA colleagues, Jack Clark & Domingo Chavez. The crisis" a shocking chain of events in which the wages of peace are as fully complex-and devastating-as those of war.
