I'm trying to decide which series to start reading next: the Anita Blake series or the Sookie Stackhouse series....what would you recommend?

I have two books left of the Anita Blake series and have two of the Sookie's on my TBR pile. The Anita Blake series are very explicit. So if your in the mood for Sex and more sex start with her. I can't wait to start on Sookie. I've heard nothing but good things about this series.

I personally have not been impressed with some of the Anita Blake books I've read.  OTOH, I love the Sookie Stackhouse series so that's my vote. If you want romance, vampires, weres, and humor, go for these.  Definitely read them in order though, as they then flow better.

I'll vote for Sookie, too.  If you do want to read Anita Blake, the early novels (1-9) are the best, after that is when they get explicit.

If you haven't read any of the Anita series it will take you a long time to get to the too much sex books.  In fact at about book 5 I was begging for her to get it over with already, but as they say be careful what you wish for!  Sookie books are definately more fun, I'd start with her!
