I had a book requested this morning with an RC stating they wanted books in very good condition. The book requested is in nice condition & meets PBS standards, but what if it doesn't meet theirs? So I declined & now they've requested it again with the same RC. I stated the first time I declined was because it didn't meet their conditions. Do I just do the same again?

This happens sometimes with a book that has only 1 wisher.  It's supposed to remove the book from their WL and put it on their RL.  But  it my not have worked or they're seeing your copy posted and request it without realizing it's the same person.

I would just decline it again and hope they take the hint.

I'd decline again and this time, explain to them in your response that if they want your book they'll have to turn off their RCs first.

Make sure you're choosing "does not meet conditions" and not "cannot send book".

I don't know that I'll say anything about them turning off their RCs. If they're asking for books in 'very good conditon' I'm afraid they might be somewhat picky & find any reason to mark it RWAP.

Yes, I'm choosing the "does not meet conditions". Otherwise it would remove the book from my shelf & I'd of had to repost it before they could request it again.

Thanks everyone! I'll try again.

What they said (above), if this happens again you might explain to the requester that they have already requested your copy several times and it does not meet their RC.  Usually the system does not re-match you with a requester declined for RC's.

They changed that a while ago. It used to be that if a requestor declined a book for RCS that person could not request that copy again even if htey turned their RCs off.  But I guess people complained about this for various reasons and so now you can.

Letting them know they are getting the same requestor over and over again might be a good idea. Although if they turn off their RCS there may be no way of knowing if it's them again without acceptng the request.

I've had this happen several times where I ended up in a loop with the same requestor for my book. I eventually had to let it time out with the five day thing. Hated to do it but it just kept repeating four or five times. There should be a way to stop this but I haven't heard of one.
