A fun little caper, thick with offbeat humor.
Good book, second in the Solomon and Lord series. Lord decides to leave the firm and defend her "uncle" on her own. Solomon is busy defending himself against someone who wants him dead, and trying to get his father reinstated to the bar. Not as much fun as the first one, but still worth reading. Especially funny is Solomon's description of a "Smart" car, typically seen in Europe.
If you've read Carl Hiaasen, you'll enjoy this book. It has enough intrigue for most, and is witty as well. Great read.
This was my first solomon vs. lord book and I cannot wait to read more!
The Solomon vs Lord series is very light and an easy read.
It reminds me of Moonlighting where there is a love-hate relationship between the main characters.
It can be repetitive when you read the whole series.
It is definitely a Beach book.
Witty, amusing, quick paced mystery with two 'opposites attract' lawyers; enjoyable reading!
The second in the Solomon vs Lord series. I love the dynamics between the two MC's. Lots of humor with heart.
Lord's uncle gets accused of murder while Solomom is trying to get his father's attorney license reinstated.
Comedic, sexy, lawyerly. For what more could one ask?
An exciting and fun read. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great book-2nd in the series.
I loved this second story about the lawyer team of Soloman and Lord. While not as long a tale as the first book, still extremely enjoyable.
A MYSTERY WITH A TOUCH OF HUMOR
Not quite as good as the first, but very readable. Love these characters!
They are Floridas most mismatched legal duoone a glamorous Miami blue blood, the other a Coconut Grove beach bum. And when they get together, you can throw every law right out the window.
What do you get when you mix beautiful people, family secrets, and a yacht washed up on Sunset Key with a hundred grand in cash and a dying man? If youre Steve Solomon, you see a case that can get Solomon & Lord off the ground. If youre Victoria Lord, you see a golden opportunity to go out on your own. With her uncle a murder suspect and her hunky ex-boyfriend back in the picture, Victoria is pushing to take control as Solomon struggles to keep from losing it.
As an explosive trial looms, theyre fighting against time, the law, and each otherto expose a killer who came to paradiseand hasnt left.
Amusing legal romance. Some of the sub-plots and legal machinations are more interesting than the main storyline, which is good but predictable.
Great book. This a great series to follow.
