I SMILE A LOT when I think about this book. The author writes a wonderful, romantic story about two individuals who were good friends as kids, high school sweethearts, and then engaged during college.
At the end of college Kate has bigger dreams than being married. She leaves without hardly a thought for Rob, her family, or anyone.
Years go by and Rob falls deeply in love with another woman. When Kate returns home she learns that Rob's life has changed in many different ways.
He was once in love with Kate...but that was a long time ago. Even so, age hasn't reduced her beauty or made her less desirable.
This is a beautiful story that is full of depth and strong characters. I really, really liked this book!
