I was just noticing I have acumulated alot of PM and wonder if I need to delete them or do they automatically delete at some point?

I don't think they delete,  the messages you want to keep you can archive and the rest you can delete.  I have to do some house cleaning too, but I really hate cleaning out messages may it be email or PMs.  Too time consuming.

I do it everyonce in a while but it's a pain in the butt because it always puts you back to the 1st page when you delete a page.  So you can't just go to like the last 3 pages and delete those easily.  Every once in awhile I go and just delete them page by page. I usually archive an important one that I think I'll need again-when I receive it.  So I don't have to take the time to search through the old ones. Although I kind of figure if I haven't had the need to look at this message in the last year than it's ok to delete it now.

But I don't think you have to.  I mean they are stored on the webite and not your computer so it's not like it's taking up memory.

I delete PMs almost immediately unless it's an address or something.  Then, I keep it until I know the other party's recevied the book.  I rarely have more than 4 or 5 PMs sitting in my inbox.

I delete them as soon as I'm "done" with them -- as soon as the person has gotten the book, or whatever the case may be.

I delete them immediately also. PBS used to auto-delete them after a couple of months, with the option to archive those older ones you wanted to keep. I liked that...didn't realize they'd quit doing it til one day I noticed I had over 600 old PMs and had to delete them manually. Ugh.

you can archive the ones you to keep, and even add tags to them
