There could be several reasons why the receiving member hasn't checked the book received yet:

1)  The member is on vacation. or ill - or something else is keeping her away from the computer.

2) The book was delivered to the wrong location (DC doesn't guarantee delivery to the right address, it just guarantees delivery.)

Give the member a little more time.

Four days - that's not long.   Maybe she can only get on the computer at work. or at the library, or whatever.  A few days off and 4 days go by.   I'd certainly wait awhile before I worried about it.

The member has been online though .... you read the last sentence of  the OP's post and apparently the person posted books to her wishlist today.

However, as was pointed out, the fact that a tracker said the book was received doesn't mean the correct person received the book. It easily could have been delivered to the wrong place but then, why no response from the PM since she's obviously been online? Maybe it could be one of timing and the person doesn't have regular access to the computer but if the book was received four days ago or even yesterday, they could've marked the book received at the same time they put another wishlist book on their list!

Personally, I think if the book was received, four days is too long to wait to click received. Way too long. And since I'm the impatient type when it comes to my credits that's why I don't mind spending the extra $$ to use PBS postage/DC. I don't have to wait! lol :)  But on the whole, using PBS will teach you patience!!

So how new is the member who hasn't clicked it received yet?  It isn't like PBS doesn't send reminders either.  And it PBS thinks the book is there they start much earlier with the reminders than just before it times out.  There's a book I have ordered, it was sent, last known place was in Federal Way - nothing else.  Just a long time since.  I'm getting questions from PBS about it.

You could pm her again. After a while, not sure on the time allowed to mark 'received', you then can contact pbs and ask them for help.

I know that I sometimes access a computer when on vacation so it is posible that she is away from her home but logged on to add a wishlist book.  It is definitely frustrating that she did not respond to your PM.  Hang in there a bit longer and then try to contact her again after the Holiday.  I have had a couple different books coming to me look like they should have arrived sooner according to the map tracker.  One had it arriving in my town 3 days before I actually received it - so I wouldn't necessarily trust the USPS info.

If she is on vacation and away from her home, she may not want to let anyone know that her house is...empty.  Not that the OP would do anything but just saying - I wouldn't want to announce it to anyone either- you never know who can see the message other than the OP.  I would say she is away from home -able to logon but doesn't want to announce she is away.  It is Labor Day weekend and many people took last week off or started the weekend early.  I would give it until Tuesday/Wed and PM her again.  You can phrase it that the DC indicates that the package was delivered and you want to make sure it was actually delivered and if not you want to contact the PO to locate the book.

I hate patience.....but you need it with this site.   Hang in there!

When I go visit my inlaws and my mother I don't put my account on vacation because I can use their computers. BUt I can't check my mail and mark books received.  If getting the credit really quickly is that important to you then use the PBS DC.  This is a Holiday weekend.

Also the DC scan doesn't always mean it was delivered at all or to the right place. I have a book in my TA that shows it was delivered to me on Jan 8th and I have never seen this book.  The only reason I know that it shows it was delivered is because they used the PBS DC and I can click on it to see.  I'm assuming at this point that it was misdelivered.

I've gotten PMs from people before asking why I haven't marked a book received when their DC shows it was received a few days before.  I haven't marked it because I haven't received it yet.  If it was scanned at the local PO then it could take a few days for it to make it to the postal carrier and then to my mail box.

This is my point, she has time to come on and secure herself in the line for a WL book but doesnt have the time to mark a book shes received? I think thats not cool.

Even more uncool is that she has not yet responded to the OP's PMs.  She could shoot off a quick "I've not marked it received b/c I've not gotten it yet" and that would be that.

I realize that this applies to only a small number of people BUT we live in the recent California wildfire areas. I was able to take my computer and order books while we were evacuated but it took several days to get to the post office and pick up all the mail they could not deliver. One book sent to my nephew who lives even closer to the fires than we do was shown as in LA but did not make it to him until yesterday. I also had to sent out notes to people who ordered books from me that I was not able to send the books as quickly as I had planned and that there was a chance that I would not be able to send them at all. Fortunately our home and books are all OK.

Jane - good to hear that you and your family , home + books are safe.  I went through a home fire once - never want to deal with that again so I couldn't even imagine what you went through lately.

I felt the same way until I recently I  went through something similar - it turned out  1) the member didn't see the PM  and 2) it was never rec'd at her location. It took another 2 days before it actually was delivered - even though DC said it was delivered. PO will scan the book when it reaches the PO - not necessarily when it reaches the final destination.   I posted because I thought it odd and I asked if I should PM her.  Majority said NO and the member saw it and felt terrible that she didn't return the PM .... because she didn't see the message.  She assured me that the books had not arrived.   Anyway - just my opinion to give some time until the holiday weekend is over.

Another possibilty of why she added a book to WL but not marked received..pbs for mobile/pda, it is set up to view your lists and search for books and even has a with button, however it is not set up at all to mark books received or mailed, or even to check on items en-route to you.  She could have wl'd a book without full access to her PBS account

ETA, there is also the possibility that PBS ate the PM you sent. I have had someone send me a PM that I never received, they copied it again to me from their sent folder.

Another possibility is that the PO marked it rec'd but they have not actually delivered it. While this is not how they are supposed to do it, I've seen several people come in to the forums and ask what they are supposed to do, since the PO shows it delivered, but they haven't gotten it yet. I've seen it take up to 12 days for the PO to actually deliver it to the home.

Tho that doesn't excuse the receiver for not answering your PMs, they may just be taking time to list a couple books and then off on the run, and no time for conversing about anything, much less a book they really haven't rec'd yet and are hoping it will get there soon. I would give it another 5-6 days before I PM'd again. But, that's just me.

I had two books that were marked delivered - not actually to the person but to nearby towns.  They were away from home and were having their mail held.  I PM'd one asking if she had received the book saying that it's showing in this town and if she didn't have it I wanted to track it.  The very next day the book was marked received and I received a nice PM explainging that the mail was being held.

Maybe you have the same type of situation.  She may not be home to check her books received.  I'd want to look at the books to be sure I didn't have an RWP book.

My post office does the same thing--they mark it mailed when they add it to the stack of mail being held for pickup.  It's nice because I can check and see that it's there, but then I worry that the sender will think I'm just not marking it received.  Not much you can do except wait a little longer.
