No, Tour Guides can't delete posts, access accounts, or anything like that!  We're here to welcome new members and answer questions from any member :)

And R&R will not take the time to delete posts either. You can clear out the content yourself, but that's the only thing that can be done.

Why do we need a delete button?  I'm just curious, not arguing. :-)  Since we can clear out our posts, I'm not sure why we'd need to delete them entirely.  I guess, mostly, I'm not sure why I'd want to take the time TO do that. lol.

First of all, text takes up a very tiny amount of space. The graphics take up 100 times more than the entire post, and since the graphics in a post are only there when someone looks at the page (the pages are generated when they are looked at, they dont stay there all the time), it really doesn't take up that much room, so it's really not a big deal.

You might have noticed that our posts no longer drop off at 45 days like they used to. I believe they stay for 6 months or more now. So, R&R have obviously decided that the forum content really is small enough that they can keep the topics and posts much longer than they thought before.

I understand your concern for space, but if you understood more about the basics combined with this type of forum you would understand that it really doesn't matter that much. Nice to be concerned, but it really is ok :)

N.C., if you are the original poster of the thread you would like to have disappear, you can alter the subject heading so it says something like "Nevermind" or "Question answered" and then generally that stops people from posting further in that thread. Hope that helps you.

Except for me --

Why delete the original question just because it's been answered?  Someone else might come along wanting to know the exact same thing and they'll be able to refer to a previous message without having to post a new one.

The original question for this thread has now been deleted.  Why make people guess what it was?  It certainly wasn't inflamatory or embarrassing in any way.
