Well this has happened several times now and I'm curious if anyone else has been experiencing the same thing.  Delivery Confirmation does print out on my mailing label but does NOT show on my computer screen, or under the "books mailed" tab in PBS.

I can't track unless I start a hand written log of all my books, the DC#, etc.  This has happened 3 or 4 times now and all since the last 2 updates of Firefox.

Is anyone else having this problem?  I have forwarded this issue to PBS.

Not the problem, no. I did mail a book 2 days ago and it only showed up as scanned by the PO tonight.

What I have been doing all along is to keep a copy of the pdf file that is the mailing label. I set up a folder on my PC for PaperBackSwap and just copy the pdf files into it as soon as I print them. That way, I have an archive of all the mailing labels I have printed out -- this also shows the title of the book and other data, so it could come in handy, one of these days. I would suggest you consider this instead of a handwritten log.

Hi Tim!  =)

I actually used to do that but I've been trying to clean up my very slow laptop...it's not something I really want to  start again; waste of time, space, etc. you know.  I mean I'm just now getting rid of my copy of the book's/person's name and info. I mail or receive, simply because it's all down in our "Transaction Archive, and it's doing nothing but [again] taking up space on my laptop for no real purpose.

Thanks for the suggestion though.  =)

Cali,

Is it not showing up on the Details of the transaction?  Or is the check mark just not showing up?  If it is the check mark, it will not appear until your package has been scanned and the data uploaded to PBS.  This was how it was always designed to be, but they didn't get the kinks out until recently.

I don't save them either because if you wanted to click the print wrapper link again it will show what services you've purchased already. There will be a reddish box saything if you have purchased  DC or Postage that if you print again that you will not be charged again. Your Money registry will show that information as well.

I mailed 4 books yesterday with dc (1 package). I'm not getting the check mark on my books sent page either. I can however click on details and the info does come up. It's just not showing the check mark.

Mary, I didn't know that about the check mark only showing up after a scan. I can see all the check marks in the books to me section and I saw those before the first scan. When you get the electronic shipping info received message. So I wonder if the system sometimes applies the check mark before a scan and other times it does not? Maybe still a glitch.

The checkmark appears (I think) when the person sending gets the credit...so maybe the people sending to you used the printable postage, Leslie? I know my check marks appear instantly because I use the PBS Printable Postage which = "instant" credit. Since the DC alone only means "Quick" credit, which doesn't happen until there is a scan done and it's received from USPS into PBS' database, I think the checkmark shows up later if the person only used DC.

Not sure, but that's my take on things.

Cheryl, that could very well be it. The members who mailed the last few books both use printable postage.

I used to use dc for every book I sent. But I stopped a few months back to save on postage. I only use it now if I send more then one book. I also usally go to the PO and they scan the book right away. Yesterday I went to a postal plus store, they don't scan my books. So that's why it's not showing up for me!  When I didn't see the check mark I just though it was a glitch.

if you purchase pbs postage with dc you get the check mark immediately. (and your credit)

if you purchase only dc, you will get the check mark after it has been scanned. (and then you will get your credit)

I have had dcs that NEVER get scanned on their routes, (and you dont get the credit until it is marked received) so the system is not fool proof.

Hi All!  =)

Yes, it was showing in transactions. What was different and still is, is the "Print" button doesn't change colors as soon as I print the label and the checkmark did not show immediately like it used to. The DC does show if I go back in to print it again but not on my account page.

As a few people here pointed out, the check mark has always shown up, at least for me, as soon as I click "mailed."  Now it doesn't. I did get a response back from PBS regarding part of this and the checkmark not showing: 

"...the checkmark is missing when you look at the request on your My Account page... This is a change we are working on. The checkmark will now only appear when Quick Credit (or Instant Credit for Printable Postage) has been given.  We do plan to have an icon that shows to indicate that DC was used for the shipment while Quick Credit is pending, but that programming just isn't ready yet.  You can see that the DC is on the package by clicking Details on the request to see the DC#."
