Linda C. (Seagull) reviewed Desert Morsels: A Journal with Encouraging Tidbits from My Journey on the Weigh Down Diet on
Living in the desert (Las Vegas) makes me appreciate so many of the author's observations. She keeps you laughing while she keeps you moving toward your goal. Here's one I especially liked:
PITY. Plopping down on a sand dune to have a pity party for yourself will only prolong your journey and leave you with sand in your shorts. Get up, shake out the sand, and get moving. Leave the self-pity buried in the sand. (page 22)
This is both a journal and a book of encouragement for those who are trying to lose weight or get into better shape physically. It is meant to be read in short bites, and written in every 2-3 pages, so it is not a book you would read right through to the end in one sitting.
