Cora's character is a tragic mess but you would be too if your daughter has been kidnapped. Jack is very strong character and even though he has suspicions about what is going on he becomes her support throughout the ordeal. He is torn about what is happening but he needs to understand why Cora left him all those years ago and never tried to call. Mofina has written another fast-paced adventure!

Did RM's dog write this? Hard to believe this was the same author as previous Mofina novels. A giant yawn--found myself flipping pages just to see if anything at all caught my interest--no such luck. If you like the previous Mofina books,don't waste your time; if this is your first, by all means, start with No Way Back or Cold Fear.
