What a fabulous story. Many colorful characters come alive, they work well together. You develope such an emotional tie with Aurora and her Apache Chief, Stalking Wolf. Aurora's father, the one that killed Wolf's mother seeks revenge by kidnapping Aurora. But their spirits have touched so well, the wonderful and fearful adventures they seek together can't describe the feelings you derive from Kit Dee's Destiny's Warrior. This book is a triple AAA rating in my world. Read and weep...and then smile again with relief from your heart.

As the Apache warrior, Stalking Wolf, is brought into the fort her father commands, Aurora Spencer has just delivered a baby boy. Her chances of being accepted as a doctor in 1876 aren't as remote as her chance of being allowed to treat the wounded Apache, but she manages to get Wolf moved to a storeroom where she can treat him.

Wolf submitted to capture so that he could reconnoiter the Fort for Chief Geronimo and hides his ability to speak English. The storeroom next to headquarters is perfect for gathering information. The attraction between Wolf and Aurora presents special problems. Aurora trusts Wolf until he recognizes her father as the man who killed his mother.
