Reunion story about the "lord of the manor" and the gardener's daughter who loved him as a teenager. Years later he hires her to redecorate his home and they discover lots of misunderstandings about the past. I feel like I should hate this story, because both of the main characters were such idiots, but Hamilton writes with so much passion and intensity that I liked it despite myself.
