reviewed Dialogues with Mothers on
Noted psychoanalyst Bruno Bettelheim discusses with parents how to respond to the day-to-day problems of children, how to raise children to "live according to their own lights and develop their personalities in freedom" while making good life decisions. Although written in 1962, the concerns and topics are still timely and pertinent, and Bettelheim's interviewing style makes the book quite readable. A classic in child development literature from one of the eminent minds of his era.
