Search - The Diamond in the Window (The Hall Family Chronicles)

After reading The Fledgling, I found myself disappointed with this story. While sharing the themes of growing up and finding the treasures within, it lacked the emotional punch of The Fledgling and ended on too tidy a note. I also found some of the scene descriptions to be lacking, to the point where I had trouble visualizing things. Overall I thought it was a decent book, but felt it lacked that factor that makes a book truly special.
