This book was absolutely hilarious!! I picked it up seeking a funny, light, enjoyable read after some of the heavier themed books I've finished, and I sure found it!
This book zips right along, formatted as diary entries of Amy Thomas, whose friends it seems are all getting married, and going crazy. Amy vows never to become a crazy, delusional bride-to-be. But when Stephen her boyfriend proposes to her, things quickly start spinning out of control. Before she knows what's happening, she's second guessing her antique engagement ring, the way Stephen proposed, her wedding dress, and fighting in public about her bridal flowers!
As soon I finished this book I IMMEDIATELY picked up the next one, Diary of a Mad Mother-To-Be, and am half-way through already. I highly recommend this book, it's fast-paced and VERY funny! A great book for future brides, married women, or anyone even remotely interested in weddings!

What a fantastic story! And it couldn't have come at a better time because I needed the laughter this book brought out. My only regret is that the story ended and that I waited so long to get around to picking this up off the shelf. I will be looking for more by this author and hopefully Amy and Stephen will be back in future books. The diary format made it a very quick read.

This was a quick & fun read. Anyone who has ever been in a wedding or gotten married can definitely have a good laugh relating to the main character's journey through wedding planning. Definitely reccommend this book.

As the book says this is a book for those who have been a bride, who are soon to be brides and those who are yearning to be brides. This book is written just like a diary so you feel like you are snooping into Amy's life for about a year. Amy gets so wrapped up in her wedding that she literally loses touch with reality. We've all been there! All the planning and the shopping and the things that we have to deal with when we get married becomes overwhelming for her until she finally realizes that she can't do it alone. Humorous at times, it has some language and situations that I found a little questionable but all in all it was a fast read and somewhat enjoyable.

What a fun book to read! The format of this book is refreshing, although it did take a couple pages to get used to it. This book was funny, sarcastic and exagerated. I really enjoyed reading this light book which only took a few days to read. Could easily be read in one day.

I reccomend this book for any one that is going to be a bride or has been a bride. It is so true and funny. I reminded me of the planning of my wedding 18 years ago. Truely a very good read.

A hilarious look at planning a wedding. Great for any bride-to-be, past bride, bridesmaid or relative! A must read...
What a perfect read for a bride to be and any of her friends who may experience the crazy! Formatted in a diary fashion the book chronicles the months and plans leading up to a wedding. I love that our main character from the beginning put out the front that she was trying to avoid any bridezilla moments, but they can sneak up on you when you least expect them.
With a groom that is very busy at work and a rough times with both families, I loved reading this story in the middle of my planning. The characters felt real and I could picture them walking down the street and passing me by. The book had the perfect mix of humor and comedy mixed with character development and heart/soul.
I would put this book in the hands of every bride and bridesmaid to see a fictionized version, but to know that there will be a moment in each planning process where crazy can hit a fan.

I loved this book - a quick, light read. Anyone who has ever planned a wedding will find this book hysterical. Although don't do what I did and read it less than two months before your wedding. Although I was enjoying the book I kept feeling like I should be doing something else for the wedding instead of reading - lol!
Fun chick read, lots of things you can relate too and some you just have to laugh at. A great fun read for any gal!
It took me a few pages to get use to the writting style of this book but once I was use to it what fun it was to read. I really enjoyed this book. For fourteen years I ran a successful bridal shop and I often thought that once the ring went on the girls hand she and her mother suddenly lost their minds. This book proved that theory correct. It was so fun to read. I laughed out loud several times (and not one of those polite girl laughs) a real belly laugh the kind a laugh that makes milk squirt out your nose. That is if you drinking a glass of milk at the time. The scene where she tries to buy a child's tiara was so funny. If you are looking for a funny, quick read then I recommend this book. You will laugh too.
I read the Reviews for this book on here before reading it I thought when I read the reviews this would be a funny book but unfortunately this book was not funny at all, All the Author did was complain about every little thing, Which made it hard for me to read on. I am sorry but this is not one book I would say is hilarious I thought it was rather boring and dragged on. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. And it doesn't even deserve a half of a star.
Super cute and super funny book! For anyone that wants to be bride, has been a bride, or is about to be one this is the book to read. It will make you feel sane again.
It was a cute book written in diary style. It was predictable and a fast read but enjoyable. There were parts that I actually did laugh out loud.
This book was laugh out loud funny, loved it! Quick fun read.
I almost didn't read this book..lamely, because of the cover..but it's very good..
This book was hilarious! I would highly recommend it for anyone that needs a good laugh! I can't wait for her to write some more Diary books!!
I really enjoyed reading this book. I was a Bride-To-Be when I read it and it was really funny, light and cute. Worth reading if you're about to take a stroll down the aisle!
For any bride going through the stress of planning a wedding, this book is for you. I loved reading about all the funny things that were happening, but not to me. It was a great laugh and really helped with the stress.
Even after 31 years of marriage, I was able to relate to this book and remember what it was like planning my own wedding. No one ever forgets the stress that goes along with that most wonderful day of your life. It also sends a nice message that weddings can still be nice and not cost a fortune. A good, entertaining read.
loved loved this book it was hilarious and fun to read
This is a must read for any bride to be or anyone who has been married. I couldn't put the book down. It was as if I was with Amy planning the wedding and going through the drama she did. It is a very easy read. I really enjoyed it.
I loved this book! I couldn't put it down! Definetly a good read if you are going through the whole "wedding planning" thing.
I loved this book. Very funny, with a lot of truth about the "Inner Bride." I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys humorous chick lit, or novels about planning weddings.
An absolutely hilarious chronicle of a bride-to-be. Entertaining and touching,.......a great read!
This book was a fun read. If you've ever been a bride, you can certainly relate to the craziness!
A cute, light-hearted and breezy read.
Cute, fun book. Some laugh-out-loud parts that had me recalling the joys and horrors of planning my own wedding! Very quick and easy to read.
It's fun to watch her make the switch from the anti-bride to the typical bride!
So funny and so true! Great story Fun and witty
A must read for any bride!
A must read for any bride!
This book is hysterical. Anyone who's ever had to endure a horrible bridesmaid dress will appreciate it! :)
Know someone getting married, read this novel or read it to them! Too funny, a descent into the madness known as being the bride.
A fun and easy read, perhaps for the beach!! A delightful book about a bride about to go through the most complicated day in her life...her wedding day! This book "is for anyone who has ever been a bride, is about to become a bride, yearned to be a bride, or suffered the sheer indignity of appearing in public in the world's ugliest bridesmaid dress..."
Great condition; just like new.
Any bride-to-be should read this entertaining and light read.
fun read!
A great great book. It was a very fun read!
I loved this book!! It is written diary-style and is very cute and fast-paced.
This is a hilarious, quick, enjoyable read! Done in a calendar/diary format, it zips along and you don't want to put it down! Loved the sequel, too!
This was a very cute book. Laugh out loud funny!
I enjoyed this book alot! Fast, easy read, good for soaking in a bubble bath and relaxing.
Riot!
Great book! It's been years since I was a bride and I wasn't one of the bridezilla's, but I have had several friends like this. Very funny read!
This is a great book. It is extremely funny and very engaging. I loved this book. This book "is for anyone who has ever been a bride, is about to become a bride, yearned to be a bride, or suffered the sheer indignity of appearing in public in the world's ugliest bridesmaid dress".
Very quick, light chick lit!
This book is an excellent read. The bride to bes story is classic! There was plenty of comedy added in to make you laugh.
A funny novel... If you like chick lit, you'll enjoy this!
Fantastically funny. Anyone who is planning or has planned a wedding (or even has dreamed of planning a wedding) should read this book!
This book is full of humor about engagement and wedding planning. I would recommend this book for all brides-to-be. It's a refreshing break from the agonies of wedding planning - picking the right dress, the right colors, the right registry. It makes light of all these Bridezilla-like obsessions and provides laughter and fun for the anxious bride-to-be.
This book is for anyone who has ever been a bride, is about to become a bride, yearned to be a bride or suffered the sheer indignity of appearing in public in the world's ugliest bridesmaid dress....
This was such a fun, easy read. Great for anyone who is planning a wedding or recently married.
I actually have not read this book, but the back reads.." Diary of a Mad Bride is for anyone who has ever been a bride, is about to become a bride, yearned to be a bride, or suffered the sheer indignity of appearing in public in the world's ugliest bridesmaid dress".
Funny and cute. A quick, if insubtstantial, read.
Wonderful book! I can't wait to read her next one.
I read this after planning my own wedding. It brought back "fond" memories. It's a very funny take on how out-of-control things can get when planning a wedding.
This is a cute book about the craziness around weddings and what is really important.
A definite read for anyone who has been a bride, thinking about becoming a bride or knows someone who is a bride. Told from the perspective of a crazy bride, this book tells of all the craziness that a bride endures as she plans for her special day. I have to say that it makes me glad that I shelled out the extra dollars to hire the wedding coordinator! Money well spent, in my opinion! This book was funny and poignant.
Funny and touching story about a woman about to get married.
Funny story written as a bride-to-be's diary/journal as she goes from a normal person to a crazed bride!
Shows just how nutty a bride can get!
Laugh-out-loud hilarious! I couldn't help, but snicker constantly as I watched this sane brides maid eventually turn into a ragging lunatic bride-to-be (which she swore she would never become when she was a brides maid) in just a few short months. Great read! In diary format.
Lots of very funny bits.
This book is hilarious, I love reading books about weddings and this one is great, I especially loved her to do lists
Great story! This is a must-read for bride-to-be, maid of honor or anyone who's ever planned a wedding. :D
This is a cute book. Fast read.
Diary of a Mad Bride is for anyone who has ever been a bride, is about to become a bride, yearned to be a bride, or suffered the sheer indignity of appearing in public in the world's ugliest bridesmaid dress....
I really enjoyed this book! A light and easy read. The story flowed well and there were some funny parts.
This was a funny look at wedding planning and how crazy life can become when you let yourself become consumed with it, and how easily you can become consumed with it even when you promise yourself you won't.
Hilarious look at planning a wedding!
cute read. read it right after i got home from my friends wedding. thought it was funny. saw my friend in a lot of the book. :)
very cute fast read!
My sister sent this to me for Valentine's Day last year, as we were both engaged and getting married in the summer. It's a quick, funny, read - makes you feel better knowing that you probably have it better than the main character. For all brides or anyone who has suffered a Bridezilla.
I thought this book was wonderful! It is so over-the-top! Brides or brides-to-be will especially get a kick out of this. I read this book while planning my own wedding and found myself relating to the main character A LOT! My husband even read it and laughed out loud. You won't go wrong with this book.
Laugh out loud funny! A very enjoyable light read, good for summer reading or for anybody who has ever planned a wedding.
Quick fluffy read. It was cute, I enjoyed it.

At 29, Amy Thomas is content being single, happily dating Stephen, and wondering what has come over her friend Mandy, who's getting married and spends all her time planning and talking about her wedding.
