Memo to those of you who plan to read a work of Charles Dickens this year: February 7 will be Charles Dickens Day, since he was born on this day (February 7, 1812) |

Excellent. Also my youngest brother's birthday :p Maybe I'll start my "long" book selection that day...David Copperfield. Over 1100 pages, if I recall correctly. |

I am also planning on reading David Copperfield this year. It has been on my TBR for years. So I guess Feb 7 is the jumping off point, lol. |

I'm planning on reading Dickens this year too, but then I read Dickens every year. There is an all-volunteer site that provides a wide selection of public domain audiobooks, including the master's work. It is Librivox.org. There is an excellent rendition of David Copperfield. Even if you are reading the book, you might enjoy this as well. |

I have Dickens on my list for this year, also. I will read Great Expectations for my February selection. I wonder how many others will read Dickens next month. |

Maybe I'll finish Great Expectations. |
