Elizabeth Lowell is a master of the genre and this tale is one of her best.

Great thriller.

This is one really good who-dunnit! It kept me up late as I just HAD to see if the clues the author let fall were leading me down the garden path, or to the actual events.

It also leads her to Ian Lapstrake, a security specialist employed by the appraisal house Rarities Unlimited, who has taken an interest in Lacey's inheritance and in her safety. Because someone wants to prevent Lacey from examining her grandfather's work too closely... by any means necessary. This is the weakest of the Rarities Unlimited series that I have read, only because there are some less-exciting segments. When the action heats up, though, Ms Lowell has made sure you're going to pay attention. A very good read.

This one didn't seem as good as most of her other books. But, definitely got better about half way through.

Thrilling. kept me turning the pages.
