What does it mean when you say a book is "cleaved"? I am worried that I might be sending someone a book with this without knowing that it is that way. Thanks.

the book has started seperating from the spine- you can see the binding through it.

Not a dim question at all, it seems like a lot of people bring that one up, Michelle described it perfectly.  You can always offer it for free as an unpostable with any order, list it in your signature or profile.  If you decide it is cleaved.  It seems like someone posted a picture on here once, I'll try to find it and post it.

I'm not a newbie and I'm still not sure what this means exactly.  If a book is questionable, I don't post and offer it as a freebie.  I think basically it's when the book is kind of split.

I found a picture in someone's descriptions.  http://www.pixelsplus.net/books/damaged.htm

Fun taste in literature!  :)
