This book may especially appeal to anyone looking for novels written about the Northeast Kingdom (Northern Vermont and New Hampshire at the Canadian border) Written by Frank Mosher who is best known for "Where the River Flows North", this novel is filled with the unbelievable antics of larger than life Quebec Bill Bonhomme as told by his son. From whiskey-smuggling from Canada with Uncle Henry to surviving the severe weather this book is loaded with characters.

Incredible story, almost unbelievable but believeable at the same time. Written with a depth of emotion equal to the amount of action which occurs in the story, and there's plenty of that, plus hilarity.
