I have enjoyed the Song of Acadia series and although I missed the 3rd book, it didn't take away anything from The Distant Beacon. I highly recommend.

Any series by these two great authors is worth reading-this is no exception. Two families, two daughters, torn by circumstances of hate and how God works to heal.

This book is number 4 in an amazing series called the Song of Acadia. THe books chronicle the lives of two women--one of French heritage and the other British during the British expulsion of the French from Acadia. A fascinating look into this period from a Christian fiction perspective.

I love Janette Oke's writing. Very descriptive. I always think I know what's going to happen, but it rarely turns out that way. Love this series.
