I just got all excited and giddy because I saw that the PBS Market has "The Distant Hours" for sale. *happy dance* I loved Morton's other two books and I'm way down the wishlist line for this one so I planned to jump on this book before they sell out.

Then, I saw the price and *squeeeeek* that put the brakes on my happy dance! I thought these were supposed to be cheap, discount books. It's $14.04 at Amazon. I have bought books from the PBS Market that I thought were a decent deal, but I won't be buying this one. ;-)

The Distant Hours :: Kate Morton

Who can afford to buy expensive books when you have to buy buckets of cream for your funky face? LOL!

The Forgotten Garden is one of my favorites.  I got myself on the waiting list at the library.  They are ordering 2 books and I am #4.

I think PBS made an announcement (possibly Sep or Oct newsletter) about newer books being available in the marketplace. But they won't be available at the cheaper price of the remainders. Is Distant Hours one of her newer books?

I saw that Spencer Quinn's most recent "To Fetch a Thief" is for sale on PBS for 12.59 + 1 credit or 15.99! I love these books, but I'm just gonna hang in there on my WL!

You are absolutely correct, Genie! "The Distant Hours" isn't even out in paperback here yet, so that really is a decent price. I didn't know they were now selling some new release books, but that is great for people who want to buy them. Might as well have their money go here instead of Amazon. ;-)
