This final part of Dante's trilogy was finished shortly before his death in 1321. The poet, after his passage through hell and purgatory, is still not fully prepared for what he finds in heaven. His journey through the circling spheres towards the abode of God is a long progress of understanding. Book includes glossary, commentary, and Dante's geneological chart. This trilogy is said to be the finest Christian allegory in existence. The translator is Dorothy Sayers, a British novelist of quite some fame in her own right. Book is in good condition but pages are yellowing. I bought this series while living in Italy 23 years ago. The text is in English.
