Grant, Colorado needs a new doctor. The retiring doctor feels he should choose his replacement, while the town council feels they should choose the new doctor. Dr. Tim Miller and Dr. Laurie Russell are both offered the same position, as well as the use of the same house.

I was suprised to read that this is story is in conection to another great read "Mother in the Making" ( a home on the ranch story). This story is about Tim Miller (brother to Gabe that stars in Mother in the Making) and Laurie Russell. Two doctors that have been misinformed and both offered jobs as the new doctor in a small town. The only thing is that this town can only support one doctor.

Grant, Colorado, isn't big enough to support two doctors-so why have two doctors been offered the same position? And use of the same house? That what Dr. Tim Miller and Dr. Laurie Russell want to know. Unfortunately, both the town council and the town's retiring doctor think they have the right to choose the new doctor-and neither side is backing down. Neither Tim and Laurie who are left fighting tooth and nail for the practice and the town's loyalty-at the same time as they're falling in love.
