Luckily, Louie has a sixth sense for danger, and Mason knows exactly how dead he'd be without him. But there are some kinds to evil that even Louie can't sniff out. Leaving a club one night, Mason is attacked by an assailant who is most definitely of the supernatural persuasion. He realizes that someone wants him dead. To defend himself, he'll have to fall back on the one skill he's mastered in music and magic -- improvisation.

This book really surprised me as I expected a lighthearted little magical tale. I do love the characters and there is alot of humor-I was laughing out loud all through chapter 2 and I was hooked-but it did shock me somewhat and got rough as it went along. It's fast moving and loaded with twist and turns. It is a fun read-but a pretty intense thriller, as well. I loved it!

I Like the characters. The main "Mason" is hawt in my opinion. I love his Ifrit. I love the fantasy/suprnatural of this book. I am intrigued by all the different magical things the author comes up with.
