The plot in this third and final entry of the series was sometimes a little too heavy on the mechanics of the magic, but the writing is so competent, the people and their universe so engaging, and Joanna and Antryg are such terrific characters that I still couldn't put the book down. I definitely hated to see the end of the Windrose Chronicles.
