all i can say is WOW!. it's the goriest, and has the most sex in this book than any of his others, not for the faint of heart...
i loved it... :)
Bentley Little has a pretty demented and imaginitive mind. Lots of sex and gore in this book. But that doesn't bother me, I liked it.
Dion Semele is a teenager trying to make friends in a new school and meet the girl of his dreams. But something is happening deep inside him: a powerful force is struggling to escape. His sleep is disturb by dreams of a past world that seeks to controll him. Penelope Daname is smart and pretty and trying to be normal, despite her unusual family. Since birth she had been cared a sister hood of women who own a local Napa winery.
It is here thea Penelope and Dion will meet there true fate. Not as lovers, but a catalysts for a reign of incredible terrori
Great mixture of mythology and modern times - one of my favorite Bentley Little books.
Dion is the new kid in school - quiest shy, and ignored. Something else sets him apart form the others. Something frightening happening inside him, invading his dreams. But even scarier is what's going to happen when Dion wakes u p...
Penelope is unique. Her peers just think she's strange. Something else sets her apart from the others. It's her family - a sisterhood of women who raised Penelope from birth. They own the local winery, and tell stories about the woods. Their secret is Penelope's fate. Her fate is named Dion.
As catalysts for a new dominion of incredible terror, Penelope and Dion were made for each other...
It is a Bentley book. the main players are easy to remember. It is a book you have to take your time with. The ending is good and the book keeps one reading. I liked it. If you are into wine it would be even better.
This was the first Little book I've read. Very dark, bloody and lots of sex. The story line was very interesting--Greek mythology mad it intriguing.
This book was pretty good. I picked it up on a whim from my sisters house when she said she'd just finished reading it and I would like it. I did like it but there were parts that kind of had me going "um ok...." It was very sexy and sexual at the same time. People drink Daneam Wine and go crazy, and a boy, Dion, who has just moved to Napa, California with "strange things happening inside of him". It has Maenads, Satyyrs and the rebirth of a god and other fairly different things in it. All in all it was ok but not as much of my kind of book as my sister thought it was. But if you like wine and crazy people it's probably for you!
