Hi
I found this donation program that I thought would be worth bugging you for.
I have already donated what I could spare, and I thought you might be interested in helping.
Every credit donated will make someone special very happy.

Thanks!

Thanks for putting this up.  I am guessing this is the first screen I found yesterday put up by PBS>  What a great way to honor our soldiers and their families.

It is! America is the only nation that seriously takes on responsibilities that many big european nations turn a blind eye to.

I personally know hundreds of Iraqis who are deeply grateful for the freedoms, payed for with many American and Iraqi lives.

This is wonderful way of giving something back to those who risk their lives overseas so the rest of us can be safe.

I hope others will donate too. Even 1 credit can make a big difference!

There is another organization that provides addresses of service members all over the world to send books to, also.  It's "operation Paperback."  I have sent several boxes of books to them, including the multiple ones (many romances, etc.) that my son's GF culled off of her bookshelf.  I think I sent out about 125 of them in recent weeks.  Try Google to find them.

I second Operation Paperback... it's a great way to give back to our soldiers, and it's simple and fool-proof. :) This new PBS donation thing is also great! God bless our troops!

I've used www.booksforsoldiers.com for over 5 years now to get books to the troops.  It's great that there are so many troop support sites!

Having been a wife of a deployed soldier I remember well the recordings WE made of my hubby reading books to our two (then) children. They watched that tape everyday for most of the whole deployment. I can't stress enough the value of this opportunity. Please donate! Dolly
