I've been reading quite a bit L fiction and non-fiction and I have to say I LOVE Dorothy Allison.  Right now I'm reading Skin: Talking About Sex, Class, and Literature and OMG it has me foaming at the mouth like a filly ready to run!  I've read almost all of her other stuff except her book of poetry--which I haven't been able to get yet.

Does anyone else like her work?  Does anyone know her personally?  I'd love to go to one of her events.

T. G.

I had heard of her but didn't know why I knew her. So of course, I googled her:

www.dorothyallison.net/

I'm going to check her out. I'd be particularly interested in reading her poetry though the non-fiction sounds enticing as well.

Love her.  I recently read Trash, and loved it a lot.

Sarah, I knew you'd like her!  Did you ever get to read the book I sent you-  the one with the name I can't write here because others think it is a bad word?  The one I'm reading now is better than that one--100 times better--I might even make it a keeper.

Not only did I read that naughtily named book, I loved it.  I want to give copies to everyone I know.  That's how much I loved it.
