Counting critters makes learning numbers lots of fun. Count hedgehogs and squirrels, fairies and gnomes, and plump little birdies in their birdhouse home. Anne Geddes' garden is the perfect place to find them all. This book is cleverly designed with a special gatefold spread at the end.

You have to be totally dead inside not to enjoy Anne Geddes' work with children. Yes, her pictures are too too cutesy, but that's part of their charm. Pudgy babies dressed as birds...gotta love it. This is a nice hardcover counting book with a different picture for each number. My children loved this book because they liked to look at the babies. So did I, if I'm honest.

A colorful and charming book for beginner counters. A delightful teaching tool.
