Hey there.

I am looking for some books about dragon riders that I have not read yet. So far, I've read Dragon Riders of Pern, Eragon (ugh!), and the Temeraire series. Are there any others someone might be able to recommend?

I'd recommend the Mercedes Lackey Dragon Jousters series that starts with Joust

Chris Bunch wrote the dragonmaster trilogy.  The first book is called storm of wings.  If you like any books with dragons -not just riders-  Gordon Dickson wrote some books -the first one is called the dragon & the george -they take place on an alternate earth.

Patricia Wrede's Dealing With Dragons series (i.e., the Enchanted Forest Chronicles) is a twist on the traditional fairy tales.  Not dragon riders, but dragons are key characters.  They are YA and a fun quick read.

I second Patricia Wrede's Dealing with Dragons series. It's a well written, easy to read series.

Have you tried Donkita Paul's Dragon Keeper's Chronicles? I also just finished a four book series by Dawn Cook. It starts with First Truth and is really just an amazing series. A good stand alone book is Dragon's Bait. It's a YA book written by Vivian Vande Velde but I highly recommend it.
