I was just wondering if anyone has read Deborah Cooke's Dragonfire series?  If so, what did you think?  I am debating picking these up but wanted to get feedback first.

I have them in my tbr pile and have heard great things about them. It's not much help but it's something. All of my friends really liked them.

I've read the first one. I liked it--it's a nice change from werewolves and vampires. Nothing earth-shattering or ground breaking, but I liked the dragons and she's put some effort into her world building. She does have the usual "magic-something that shows who your mate/true love will be" shortcut thing, which I'm a bit tired of, but overall it was a good book.

I got the first one here but the beginning did not hook me. I will give it one more try and then it will go back on my to be swapped list. Not sure why I couldn't get into it. I think the characters seemed to be kind of flat. Maybe it gets better? Not sure. I didn't make it much past page 30.

I loved them both but the 2nd one was definitely better than the first.
