The Dragonriders of Pern is one of our family's favorite book series! Those of us from 56 to 14 love the stories, about the planet Pern which has Thread fall from the sky, destroying everything in it's path. Dragons, which bound (Impress) with individuals, fly and flame the Thread, killing it and saving the people in this agrarian culture. At the time of the first novel, there are not enough dragons to save the planet in this wave. What to do? A clue from a song leads the heroine to the answer. Or does it? Read and find out!
