This is a topic I haven't seen yet!  Does anyone know of any good dragon series in the paranormal romance genre? I know fantasy has alot but I've got to have my romance, too!

I've read a few but I'm sure there has to be more. I've read Katie MacAlister's Aisling Grey and Sliver Dragons.(love them)  I've read Allyson James books (not a big fan)and I'm waiting to recieve G.A. Aiken's(heard they're good).

Thanks for your help!

Love the G. A. Aikens books, but some are definely better than others.  Kathrine Kerr has written several good one, but they are more pure fantasy than dragon romance.

Bianca D'Arc has the Dragon Knights series and the later books really get good.  I especially liked Prince of Spies and Firedrake.  Tielle St Clare wrote another really interesting series, Shadow of the Dragon, that's very different and very well done.

How could I forget one of the landmark dragon series, Anne McCaffrey wrote a fantasy series - The Dragon Riders of Pern.  I looked it up in Wikipedia and they have all the books there, including those by her husband.  Lots of sex in them. :-) and several have love stories as part of the story arc.

I  actually read Anne McCaffrey's a long time ago when I worked in a book store.  They would give us 7 free books a week.  It was heaven! lol

Bianca D'Arc  and Katherine Kerr are new for me so I will check them out!  Thanks for your suggestions!

Patty Brigg's Dragon Bones and Dragon Blood.  (More fantasy.)

Sarah A Hoyt's  Draw One in the Dark and it's sequel, Gentleman Takes a Chance.

Todd isn't Anne McCaffrey's husband - he's her son.  love that series though, and he's done a decent job taking over from mom.

let's see, you already mentioned Aiken (good stuff - and the author is aka Shelly Laurenston), MacAlister, and Allyson James (i gave up on her).

sticking to just paranormal romance, i can't think of too many.  there's also the series by Deborah Cooke, but it's still in my TBR so i don't know if it's good or not.

Oh.  A classic.  And one of the real early urban fantasy books.  Tea with the Black Dragon by R A MacAvoy.  There is a second book also, Twisting the Rope?

And there are dragons in Eileen Wilks' series.  Side characters, but there.

There are dragons in Gena Showalter's Atlantis series, but only the first book, "Heart of the Dragon," features a dragon as the main character. Dragons are supporting characters in the rest of the series.

I love Showalter's Atlantis series!  I've read several of her books besides that series.  I always enjoy her. :-)

I like Dawn Cook's Truth series. The order goes: First Truth, Hidden Truth, Forgotten Truth, Lost Truth.

I didn't like the Deborah Cooke books...very typical paranormal romance.  Gave up after 2.

Keri Arthur also has a new series...Destiny Kills.  I love Keri, but this book kind of fell flat to me.

edited to add Yasmine Galenorn books have Dragons in them too...Dragon Wytch features 'smokey' a lot.

I read Mac Avoy's books, but I only just got Cook's books.  I was not that impressed with MacAlister Silver Dragons.

This week has been a real stroll down memory lane with the classics, like Tea with the Black Dragon.   Over on another forum I finally found the Yellowthread Street Mysteries set in Hong Kong.  I'd quite forgotten about them and they were really good books too.  Another author I'd forgotten is Robert L Asprin.  Known more for being editor of of short story collections, Asprin wrote many books as well.  His Myth Adventures and Phule's Company books were hysterical.  I was amazed to see he died last year.  He was the one that edited the Thieves World series.

I had't realized that Todd was Anne's son.  So many husband/wife teams in fantasy (like Asprin and his wife Lynn Abby)  Even Clive Cussler's son is was walking in Dad's shoes and like Mary Higgins Clark's daughter Carol.

Jory Strong includes several books on dragon shifters in her Supernaturals series.  They are erotic romance and a few are good, but others less so.

Well other than Katie MacAlister's Aisling Grey series (which I loved as well), there is her other Dragon Series...The Silver Dragons, I believe?  I have both the current books in that series if you'd like them...I can post them to you (one is wishlisted and the other is not)

Playing With Fire and Up In Smoke are the titles.

Then there is Yasmine Galenorn's Sisters of the Moon Series that has a sexy dragon featured, although it's not centered around him.  There are also lots of other creatures including witches, weres, shifters, and unicorns (etc..etc..)

Deborah Cooke did not impress me.

Dawn Cook is AKA Kim Harrison.
