Easy, clear instructions.
This was willing tried by my 3 1/2 yr old granddaugher and she didn't do badly, but I think it still was a bit difficult for her. I would recommend five and up. I don't think any younger has the motor skills yet.

I can draw animals has very clear step-by-step picture instructions which show exactly what to do. Precise drawing is not required, so even very young children will be able to achieve some delightful results.
When my children were three, I taught both of them to draw with this book. Easy step by step instructions to draw simple animals. Fantastic - highly recommended.
