I was surprised to learn that time line wise, this book is set before Night Pleasures (The 2nd dark hunter book). Kenyon's intro to the dream hunter world on her web page was set after book 11 of her dark hunters. This was actually a prequel. It will be interesting to see how the Dream Hunter world affects the Dark Hunter world since the story on her page had a Oneroi messing with Nick to keep him angry.

As for the book itself, the first half was very predictable a boring. I actually set it down and read 2 more books before going back to finish it. The second half Kenyon seemed to hit her stride again and was much better. I am now looking forward to the next book.
