Whatever you do, do NOT start this book until you have the next one in your hot little hands --- or I promise you that you will drop everything you're doing to find a bookstore that has a copy NOW! This whole series has been an amazing rollercoaster ride, and this installment is no different. But the cliffhanger!!!! Ms. Moning - have mercy on your fans!

Excellent read. Macayla is faced with discovering who she really is from within. This 4th book of the series is about perserverance and inner strength. You can really feel how much Mac has grown in this book. Unfortunately, experience is the best teacher. Forced to go to the absolute most horrible place a person can go, and then returning from it...what doesn't kill you makes you stronger in this case. AND.. YOU WILL need the next book in the series, "Shadowfever" to finish this one. There is one wicked cliffhanger at the end of the book.

Boring, Boring, Boring! No story in first 75 pages. Hope book 5 is better. Have been very disappointed w/this series since has gotten more tedious & boring as series progresses.
