This book should definitely be required reading for health classes teaching about dating abuse. With her signature spot-on teenage voice, Sarah Dessen once again crafts a masterpiece. Her novels are not merely novels; they are works of art that I hope will last forever. While not everyone has gone through an abusive relationship, Sarah Dessen describes Caitlin's thoughts and fears so genuinely that readers will feel as if they ARE Caitlin themselves. They will feel all of Caitlin's pain and confusion, wrapped up in a world so well written that it's easy to forget you're reading a book.

Wake up, Caitlin...

Ever since she started going out with Rogerson Biscoe, Caitlin
seems to have fallen into a semiconscious dreamland where nothing is quite real.
Rogerson is different from anyone Caitlin has ever known.
He's magnetic. He's compelling. He's dangerous.
Being with him makes Caitlin forget about everything else-her missing sister, withdrawn mother, her lackluster life.
But what happens when being with Rogerson becomes a larder problem then being without him?

My 15 year old daughter loved this book. Very easy read. Kept her attention. She has read all the books by Sarah Dessen and this is her favorite.

This book is so good! It is my favorite of all the books that Sarahs written that I have read. If your thinking about reading, go for it! It's a shorter book, so it's great if your busy like me, but love to read!

The story was good, it is scary to think this type of thing happens in real life every day.

Great book that sucked me in from the beginning. Dessen has a way of writing that makes you sympathize with the characters immediately. I felt like I was racing alongside Caitlin, and didn't want to put the book down. Second book from this author for me and I plan to read all she has written.

This book is very good, but VERY sad. About a girl who is in an abusive relationship, you see why she doesn't leave him, and why a girl might not. It makes you really believe that Rogerson, the guy, is a good guy, and why you might stay with him even if he did beat you. Before I read this book, I didnt get AT ALL how someone could stay in a relationship if it was bad for you, but once I finished this one, I sort-of understood. It makes want to scream at the girl: WAKE UP CAITLIN!
