An original and mesmerizing read. I was totally caught up in the Japanese traditions and the history given of taiko drumming. I also found this to be a deeply sensual read...a very romantic and emotional read that I truly enjoyed and highly recommend!
Tetsuro Takamitsu, a Japanese drummer, has devoted his life to taiko drumming, sacrificing family for performing. McKenna Stafford, an African American doctor, has given her life to medicine, abandoning hope of marriage and children. Brought together by a freak accident, McKenna finds her heart repaired as she mends Tetsuro's hand.
Can they overcome their difference to build a family together?
This was an intriguing read that explored the works of two people from two different cultures coming together. A great read. :-)
