Not as steamy or sensual as most of her books. A good romance set in the 1700s.

How everyone can be rich and titled is not answered in this predictable story by Bertrice Small who seems to be stuck in this gendre. I usually like how she builds up the romance side of her story, but don't appreciate the violence against women.

Tedious and mediocre at best. The thing is, i still couldn't put it down! That is the spell that Beatrice Small puts on her readers. By the end of the book, i found myself smiling.

Not part of any trilogy or series, but a good "in between" book when you have nothing else to read.

pretty good book- I found myself wanting to keep reading even though the plot could be plodding or predictable at times.
