I participate in a BBBS program called Everybody Wins. I read to a child once a week at school. We are allowed to give the child a gift of a book at Christmas. I am reading to a 5th grade boy this year. He likes science fiction and fantasy books. I have a boxed set of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy that is in excellent shape. I would like to give it to him at Christmas. Is this set of books too old for a 5th grader? His father has taken him to see two of the movies. Evelyn |
