The story focuses more on people kidnapped than the Enterprise crew, which I think may throw some people off. It is a fairly powerful book about hostage situations, abuse, bonding, and all the psychological issues related thereto. I enjoyed it, but as noted, if you want all usual cast as the main focus, this may not be the best choice.

Not the expected Star Trek format in that the principal characters are not the bridge crew of the Enterprise but, rather, two young women from very diverse cultures (Earth and Vulcan) who find themselves in a very difficult situation and where understanding of the other's culture will be the key to their survival. Great book! Five stars *****
