Stuart Little is the tale of a young mouse, Scion of the frederick c. little family of NYC. Although only two inches tall, Stuart has the indomitable spirit of a giant. Searching for his dearest friend, a lovely little bird named Margalo, he sets out on a great adventure that is by turns funny, tender, and exciting.
In Whites beloved novel, the ingenious gray spider, Charlotte, a Cavatica, though means both clever and logical saves the life of Wilbur the pig--very much to the delight of Fern, the little farm girl who loves him. In The Trumpet of the Swan, Louis is a Trumpeter Swan who was born without a voice so the devoted Sam Beaver, a boy who loves all wild things, takes Louis to school, where they bothlearn to read and write. And Louis' father steals a trumpet so his son can whoo the beautiful swan Serena. Louis "repays" his father and Sam, showing single-minded devotion during an odyssey of self-discovery.
