For those of you who like e books, how does that work out for you?  I never realized e books were so popular until seeing some of the sites posted here!  Do you read your books on the computer or print out the pages to read?  Just curious.

Thanks for all of that information!  I had no idea!  LOL!  I generally don't like reading things off my computer.  I tend to just print out longer articles and things I want to read, but I may give this a try and see how I like it!  : )

The back lighting on most devices is usually considered to be hard on your eyes.  The current ebook readers use e-ink that is considered to be more like reading paper.  You can also read on devices like your i-phone if you get the app for it.

I recently bought a kindle and it is very nice.  kindle allows you to order and recieve your books wirelessly vs loading from your computer, but it does tie you into buying from amazon (and amazon's format, but you can send them other formats to convert to read on the kindle for a small fee).  The barnes & noble nook was just released and also will wirelessly deliver your books, but the books seem to cost more from barnes & noble.

I used to prefer paperbacks because hardback books are too big and heavy, but now I think that paperbacks are to big & heavy :)

This is a website with alot of discussions about readers, formats, which books are free, etc.

I don't like reading on my computer, but will do it for a book I'm really interested in. I sometimes read on my husband's Itouch, which works fairly well. Still prefer an actual book though!

I hate reading on my computer but I love my Sony reader gadget. :) I wish my library would get ebooks. I definitely prefer paper books, but there were so many books I wanted to read that were only available in the electronic formats that I broke down and got a gadget.

My husband is a computer professional, we have access to multiple computers, all different kinds, and still we can't figure out how to use the library's ebook downloads!  It's very frustrating. I would especially like to be able to download audio books for my mp3 player.
