I purchaed e-DC from PBS. I was going to pay for first class postage so I didn't have to mess around with the 19 cent delivery fee. But I noticed on the label that printed out it is marked as Media Mail-how do I get around this if I want to use first class postage?

Now that I'm looking at some of the other comments I'm a little confused-do I have to pay PBS AND the PO for the E-DC? Or did I pay the 19 cent charge when I purchased the DC? Sorry, I normally just get the DC and postage in one and don't have to think twice about it.

It's a bit complex, Mark has correctly posted the e-DC fee correctly.

You will also notice a .27 fee on your PBS account, which covers site costs.

Shouldn't be a problem to change the mail rate, merely cross out the 'Media Mail' notation in bottom right corner and ask your PO to stamp it 'First Class' (or hand write it yourself).  I've done this, and my counter clerks have done it for me...totally Kosher.

First Class postage might be higher than Media Mail postage, depending on the weight.

thank you all! I don't really like to deal with the clerks at the PO I go to, so I was just going to use the machine (the self-serve machine in the lobby). Appreciate all your help!
