I was using Excite.  However after reading help links I have changed my mail to global ccs.  I DID get notification of this reply at that address.  However still no notification of the lst 3 requested books.  Does it take a few days for pbs to get these notifications out???  Linda

Not that I know of. I think if you don't get it within an hour you won't get it. I have not had an issue with emails. This problem was mentioned once before and I thought that i may have missed one but when I checked my trash (I use gmail) it was there.

I use Firefox and don't have a problem. I don't think it would be your browser having issues anyway.

If you look in the Club Communications link on your main account page, you should see any e-mails sent to you there. PBS sends them to the e-mail address you provide--if for some reason you didn't get them, the problem must be on your ends if they do appear in the Club Communications. Sometimes e-mail providers bounce mail for no reason that's clear to anyone.  The only time I have had any problem with not getting e-mails it was because Yahoo mail (which I use for the address here) was stuffing the e-mails into my Bulk Mail folder, but that was  remedied by marking the e-mails "not spam."

Also be sure to check your account settings and see what e-mail notifications you have turned on, and which you have opted out of--although since you got SOME e-mails of the same type, that sounds like it's probably nto the problem.

I asked about roadrunner (which is an internet service provide that is an email host) because there was an issue with them and non-receipt of emails recently.

Perhaps it is a glitch within your email provide. I would just check in with PBS as often as you can until you know thigs are good.

Another thing thta I have suggested to a few is that with Yahoo (what I use) you can set up filters for your incoming mail and have them sent to specific folders.  (I'm assuming you can do this with other email programs too...).  Anyway, not only are things set to be "accepted" that come from 'noreply@...." or "librarian@....", but I have the filter set so that THOSE emails go to a specific folder (labeled PBS, no less!) and I've had no more trouble with receiving my messages.  That way the yahoo system is sure to recognize all PBS mail....

Incidentally, I have SACD and SADVD folders set up this same way so even those dont' just go to my Inbox, they have their own folders.  And all my Yahoo groups messages, etc.  Slightly OCD you say???? LOL

Tonksy,

You are right:  Roadrunner has been messed up lately.  It seems like it's eating all of my e-mails that I get from Maine.  At least in my case it is selective ;)
