So I signed up for the 2 free books thing.  How do you find out what's in the next shipment before you open the box? Do they eventually put it under your account page?  Do they send something like the Disney Movie Club or other book clubs to give you time to opt out?

I just want to know so I don't end up buying books that I don't really want or writing refused on the box for books that I would have kept.

In the box each month there is a flyer that says what books are going out the next month for each series. You can also look on their website, theres a place for upcoming books.

Which ones did you sign up for ?

I signed up for the Romantic Suspense. I didn't see the upcoming book options and of course I tossed all the stuff that came with the last order.  I'll have to go on the site again.

How funny Mary.  I just signed up for the Harlequin historical line.  I've decided that if I decide quickly which ones I don't want to read I can post them right away on here and they should be snapped up quickly.  Will have to see if it's worth it.  I was a part of the Dorchester books clubs (I did both historical and contemporary), but I was getting way too many books that I didn't want (you'll see a ton of brand new Cassie Edwards and Melanie Jackson books on my shelf from before I joined PBS).  So I quit that.  I'm hoping that this one will be better.

Cause I always need more books....

That's just too much money to pay for the books just to post them here.  Between the Disney Movie Club, BMG and the Children's book of the month club I've gotten pretty adept and opening the packages and resealing them without the post office being able to tell. I know that's cheating but.  Oh well.

I get the 3 MIRA or HQN titles per month, (contemporary or periodically historical romances.)  I have been for about a year & a half.  I like not having to pick them out myself (I almost always like them,) & they're always on WL.  Periodically I'll look at the website to see what's coming up next, but I like the "surprise" too.

You can also sign up for their "members only" email which gives you extra discount codes & private sales... I've gotten several books free this way (& with their bonus bucks program too.)  Free is always good :)

OK it's showing my next pending shipment but I can't seem to find what is in that shipment.  I'd like to know before I blow $16.

Sometimes you can look on their website in the "What's coming up next" section... click under that on the right hand side of the screen, then click the type of books you're subscribed to...  it should give you a list.  Sometimes it's a few more than what will be in your actual shipment (they select a few). You can call customer service too- they're usually pretty helpful :)    (Hope that helped.)

I am not seeing anywhere to see what books are upcoming. I signed up for Romantic Suspense but one book they sent was Mira and the other was HQN. I signed up for all the newsletters as well.

I guess I will just have to open this next one and accept them and make sure not to toss out the inserts.

ETA: The reason I am concerned about this is because the 2 freebies they sent were both pretty heavily posted on PBS.  I just don't want to start piling p the heavily posted books that I could probably get on a deal here.
