Really enjoyed this book. It's well-written, an easy read, that shows the life of a small-town EMT who goes from being called "useless" in an emergency before she'd had her training to one of the best in her squad. Having lived in a large city most of my life, I found it fascinating to see that most small towns have only VOLUNTARY emergency teams. Many of these people have full-time jobs in other professions, and do emergency medical work just to help out their community, getting not a penny for all their hard work. It shows the love and dedication they have, to go out in the middle of the night to help save another life. Wonderful book that shows both the good and the bad about being an EMT.
