I don't understand this whole Fictionwise thing.

I went there and explored and I found most of the books are priced a lot more than B&N!

Abd I couldn't even find most of the books I wanted. What is the appeal? Is there something I am missing?

Well for me I've purchased some books that are multiformat.  That means I can download the book in as many formats as I want including PDF.

The biggest disappointment for me is that these codes don't help me because they exclude Samhaim titles and those are what I'm usually looking for on FW.

I have a Nook and I can't do that with Nookbooks.

Their parent company is Barnes and Noble, so I don't think their intention is to supply mainstream titles, which is why their prices on such books are not competitive.  They do have a large selection of sci fi, fantasy, erotica, mystery and some niche publishers - I really enjoy Wonder Books' reissues of pulp classics.
