When you read what happened to the author at an early age, you have to admire her determination not to let her health problems limit her life. This is the only book of hers I've read so far, but I was highly entertained.

She manages to effectively blend in so many different realistic characters to fill the pages of this engaging historical and give us an exciting tale with a good ending.
